Well Pump Systems

There are many private wells currently in use, and that amount is growing, and with every well that is installed there is also the certainty that sooner or later some components will fail. It is strongly recommended that you use high quality components for your well, as they will last longer, but there are many cases where a homeowner cannot afford the highest quality and must settle for affordability over quality. We are not saying that all that are affordable are not good quality. However it is not unlikely for deep well pumps and motors to break down and fail after time, and should this happen to you it is best to know where and how to find a good deal on a great product.

The most important rule when sizing a pump is to make sure that it will operate at it's most efficient point when placed in your system, if at all possible choose a system that will have no trouble meeting your water usage requirements. It is also in your favor to know exactly what your well's levels are, this includes: pumping level, total well depth, water level, draw down, total dynamic head (in feet), voltage and phase available, casing diameter, discharge pipe size, flow rate (GPM), and discharge pressure (PSI).

Aside from the many residential wells in service today; there are many more commercial wells providing water in towns and cities all across the country. Although these well pump systems are huge in comparison to a residential well, they share the same basic purpose, and have the same basic components. We also can supply deep well vertical turbine pumps, depending on the application these may be a more cost effective system in terms of servicing and accessibility, however they may not be appropriate for a small simple well system.

The basic components of a well pump system are:

  • Pump
  • Motor
  • Control Box
  • Submersible Wire
  • Check Valves
  • Piping
  • Casing

We supply all of these components, with the exception of the piping and casing, and we can easily size a pump and motor to properly fit your needs and budget, please contact us for more information, pump sizing, purchasing, price, and availability.
