An odor control device is primarily used with a sewage lift station and is most commonly used on commercial type applications, since residential wastewater systems vent above the roof of the house. Our custom built OCD is designed to prevent any undesirable odors from escaping the wet well by allowing the air to pass through a layer of carbon and lose any scent that is present in the air.

The design allows for up to 30 lbs. of coarse granular activated carbon, to be placed in the reservoir, which is normally included, however another coarse granular media can be used in place of the carbon.

The design is simple yet effective and is constructed of PVC, acrylic and stainless steel with no assembly required, with the exception of pouring the filter media into the reservoir. A stainless steel screen prevents the media from entering the wet well, diffuser plates allow the air to move freely within the OCD and become deodorized in the media. The air escapes through the weatherproof cap assembly which consists of a vented cap, spacers and a weather cap to prevent rain damage to the filter media.
